About Mary Cranston
Mary has over 15 years experience as a director of seven public companies in the financial payments, biotech, networking, semi-conductor, engineering, carbon materials, and chemical industries. Her current boards include VISA, Chemours, MyoKardia and a mutual insurance company, CSAA Insurance. On these boards, she has served as Lead Director, Audit Chair, Compensation Chair, and Nominations and Governance Chair. Mary qualifies as a financial expert and has expertise in cyber security, M&A, and internal investigations. She was named to the NACD's Directorship 100 list which recognizes leading corporate directors who significantly impact boardroom practices and performance. Mary was the former Chair and CEO of Pillsbury LLP, a Global 100 international law firm with 15 offices in the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In her eight years as Chair and CEO, she had a sustained track record in driving revenue growth, leading successful mergers, innovating client service models, and streamlining operations which doubled profitability and productivity. Mary has also been a director of non profit organizations, including service as a Trustee of Stanford University and the San Francisco Ballet, and as a director of Catalyst, the Commonwealth Club of California, the Stanford Hospital, and the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford (where she is currently Chair of the Board).
