XDC Network itself is a hybrid, open, EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain designed for enterprise use cases. One of the company’s first major initiatives was a Proof-of-Concept project that connected the public XDC blockchain with the private R3 Corda DLT platform through a Corda Bridge. Initially developed by Impel Global, the bridge was later placed under the control of the SBI XDC Network APAC joint venture. The experiment successfully demonstrated the ability to process confidential deal information privately while simultaneously transferring value on a public blockchain. This hybrid model proved that corporate and trade finance settlements can become more efficient, transparent, and cost-effective compared to traditional fiat transactions.

For example, in May 2025, the XDC token was listed on Bitkub, Thailand’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, supported by educational and promotional initiatives through Bitkub Academy.
