2010
TESOBE CEO Simon Redfern pushes for REST APIs in banking to support innovation and transparency at the ITEA2 and PechaKucha event in Berlin. A year later (2011) the first Open Bank Project (OBP) source code under open source licence is published.

2013
OBP is incubated at the Fintech Innovation Lab & Open Data Institute (ODI) in London and launches the first fintech hackathon: Hack (Make!) the Bank. The same year, the ODI and Fingleton Associates consult TESOBE for the Open Data & Data Sharing whitepaper commissioned by HM Treasury.

Simon Redfern becomes a key contributor to the Open Banking Working Group - the world’s first body tasked with implementing Open Banking standards.

2018
The Australian Payments Council holds the country’s first cross-industry hackathon , trusting TESOBE to organise the event and provide an industry sandbox populated with a mixture of real and synthetic data.

The TESOBE team continues advising regulators and banks across the globe, including in Mexico, Vietnam, Peru and Jordan.
