The first application wave of the LUKSO Grants Program is set to kick off, inviting developers and teams to submit proposals for projects that contribute to the vibrant ecosystem of user-centric, social, and creative initiatives built on LUKSO. With a focus on cultivating a diverse array of applications, the program aims to support projects across various categories, including decentralized applications (dApps), infrastructure and developer tools, education, and community building.

Fabian Vogelsteller, co-founder of LUKSO and author of ERC-20 and ERC-725, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch of the grant program, highlighting LUKSO's innovative smart contract standards and Universal Profiles as foundational elements for unlocking new use cases across Web3. Vogelsteller emphasized the platform's commitment to addressing barriers to entry for mainstream users, paving the way for decentralized social media platforms, creator economies, and more to flourish.

Central to LUKSO's vision is the introduction of new tools and standards designed to simplify the user experience for Web3 applications. One such innovation is LUKSO's Universal Profiles, offering users a comprehensive on-chain and recoverable Web3 identity that streamlines blockchain activities without the need for wallets or gas fees.

Projects applying for the LUKSO Grants Program are encouraged to leverage LUKSO Standards Proposals (LSPs) and Universal Profiles to enhance functionality and user-friendliness. Eligible categories include a wide range of sectors such as creator economy and social media, decentralized finance (DeFi), fashion, art, music, gaming, marketplaces, and sustainability.
