Hifi (formerly Mainframe) is a Lending Protocol that allows anyone to borrow against their crypto. Hifi uses a bond-like instrument, representing an on-chain obligation that settles on a specific future date. Buying and selling the tokenized debt enables fixed-rate, fixed term lending and borrowing — something much needed in decentralized finance today. It is anticipated that a ticker symbol change will occur alongside future iterations on the Hifi Lending Protocol.

Q1 2022

MFT Governance
Snapshot governance and the Hifi Community Forum are now live. MFT holders can join the conversation and vote on protocol parameters, collateral types, target assets, a potential token swap, new economic models, and DAO resource allocation.
Lending Protocol Updates
These updates include several architectural changes in the protocol to improve user experience, a change of license to protect the Hifi DAO from unauthorized forks, and a fix for a low-severity bug.

Q2 2022

NFT Collection
We kicked off our marketing campaign in Q1 and are continuing our efforts to launch our collateral first NFT in Q2.
This collection will help us demonstrate the capabilities of our future NFT lending protocol. Fixed-rate borrowing against all digital assets is the future. Borrowing against NFTs will be a proof of concept and a stepping stone to borrowing against all bluechip NFTs.
Liquid NFT Prototype
Liquid NFT is an NFT liquidity protocol that provides the liquidity and price feed necessary for fixed-rate borrowing against NFTs. One of our NFT collections will be the first test case.
Liquid NFT is not an NFT lending protocol, it's a liquidity protocol which will enable the ability to borrow and lend NFTs in the Hifi v1 Lending Protocol.
Liquidation Bot Updates
Updating our liquidation bots to manage edge-cases when network providers have downtime.

Q2-Q3 2022

Token Swap + Token Economics
Depending on the requirements and scope set by governance, the Ethereum mainnet launch may occur along side the token swap (MFT -> HIFI).

Liquid NFT v1
Taking the learnings from our prototype and applying them into v1 of the NFT liquidity protocol.
Hifi Launch on Ethereum Mainnet
After thorough testing on Polygon, formal verification, and a high quality audit, we will launch the Hifi v1 Lending Protocol on Ethereum.

NFTs as Collateral
Borrowing against NFTs at scale. Using the Liquid NFT protocol for liquidity and as a price oracle, this new liquidity layer will allow users to borrow against any bluechip NFT collection!
