Acquiring an economics degree during the great recession, Ryan did more than question how modern financial institutions affect society. The evolution of decentralized finance was the catalyst for sparking interest in finding ways to change his personal financial freedom. The genesis of DEFI Spirits began after blending his distilling expertise and desire to motivate others to explore the opportunities in blockchain technology. 

Formerly a professional rugby player James was conditioned to "control the controllables".

​The 2020 pandemic and the economic environment born because of it made James research how to have more financial control in his life and led him to DEFI and the technology that powers it.

​James believes DEFI spirits are the catalyst for meaningful discussions around decentralized finance as we as we strive to provide all our friends and family with ways to achieve long-term financial security.

An entrepreneur and an advocate for breaking tradition. As a co-founder of an artisanal distillery Jenna's passion for how chemistry affects flavor flourished. She recognized the unbalanced female presence in the spirits industry and was inspired to join the movement of women creating thoughtful, premium spirits. While she and her husband Ryan were on a 50-state US road trip with their newborn she knew authenticity, family and service would be the foundation of the new venture. Creating a high-quality product to help break the ice on decentralized finance was just the first step to applying her business strategies and philanthropic mindset. Charity and proving you do not have to be a hedge fund to create generational wealth are the core of Jenna’s hopes for DEFI Spirits.
