Moonbeam is a smart-contract blockchain on Polkadot that strives to provide compatibility with the existing Ethereum developer toolchain and network.It does this by providing a full EVM implementation, a Web3-compatible API, and bridges that connect Moonbeam to existing Ethereum networks.
This allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonbeam with minimal changes.The initial blockchains supported will be Ethereum & Binance Smart Chain.The second release will allow supporting Cardano, Solana, and Polkadot via the Moonbeam Parachain.
The final planned release will include Cosmos & Tron unless the community, through our governance system, has decided otherwise and will depend on the development of the ecosystems at the moment.
