Bitverse

Most of these games will have individualized gameplay systems but will share traditional RPG loops based on fighting, leveling up, collecting equipment and upgrading those to increase their power.

Competition will be at the core of the experience in the form of live events and prizes where player-owned items will be distributed, rewarding the most engaged and skilled players in our community.

Bitverse will initially launch with Bit Heroes Quest (already live), followed by Bit Heroes Arena (Battle Royale), and Bit Heroes Runner in 2022. The Bitverse will continue to expand over time, incorporating more first party games as well as community funded and driven games.

Bitverse Heroes will be the main NFT asset that will interoperate with all games in the Bitverse, but certain items in the Bitverse Hero’s inventory will also be mintable into NFTs. Leveraging multiple game types builds additional utility into certain NFT assets over time.

Vision
As game developers, we are striving to build a universe of games that incorporate the best aspects of emerging Web3 technology (decentralization, enhanced security, and token-based economies) so that we can provide fun and value to the gaming community. Our plan is to build games that augment the existing Bit Heroes experience by introducing blockchain elements to our growing metaverse.

The Bitverse is looking to develop the next generation of web3 games, moving beyond basic resource-farming, play-to-earn (P2E) style of games that populate the current ecosystem. We want to build a sustainable model that rewards players for accomplishing in-game tasks, participating in in-game events, and being a part of the Bitverse community.

In short... We want to use blockchain technology to reward players for playing the game.

For this effort, we have partnered with Immutable X ($IMX) - a next-gen L2 protocol for trading Ethereum NFTs. We are dedicated to creating a true Play-and-Own environment, where our game mechanics utilize the latest crypto technology (ERC20) and unique NFTs (ERC721) to fulfill this mission.

Additionally, we believe in hybrid sustainable models of gameplay, which means we will maintain broad access to our games by keeping them cross-platform and free to play for everyone. We intend for the Bitverse to be accessible and appealing to all types of players. If you are not ready for the Web3 elements of the Bitverse games you can still enjoy our games and take part in the community. If and when you are ready for the new features, we will strive to have the experience be as easy and seamless as possible.

Our ultimate hope is to create fun and rewarding experiences for players that also introduce folks globally to the benefits of digital asset ownership. We pledge to do so in a morally and ethically acceptable way that is aligned with Kongregate’s core principles, while keeping the Bitverse sustainable for many years to come.

Mission
Create an ecosystem of games that are all set within the Bitverse, a large universe centered around the nostalgia of the early days of gaming. This ecosystem is envisioned to ultimately contain both first and third party games with a coherent central theme throughout. Beyond a centralized theme, we plan to introduce a central currency (Bit Pixel) and NFTs (Heroes and Items) that will have cross-game functionality.
