The rusted door begins to creak open.

“Welcome back” the ominous voice said sounding so far away and echoed.

Dr. S grabs his jacket to his hips so it does not brush up against the pile of dead moths and mysterious wet stains on the steps to the door. He steps through and begins making his way to the entrance of the lab which was just a little further. Still lost in thought, lights begin to turn on all around him revealing dozens of computers running on all cylinders.

“Good to see you again Mr. X, how are the preparations coming?”

“Fine, they’ll wake soon”

Mr. X was the AI assistant who helped maintain the incubation chambers of the special AI agents the Dr was making for the mission on plant [REDACTED]

The Dr begins to take off his jacket to put on his lab coat and notices a pair of eyes staring at him from one of the incubation chambers.

His face begins to lose tension as he cracks a slight grin.

“Oh? It seems you’re the first” He begins to walk towards the chamber and places his hand on the glass.

"Lower the water, let's bring him out"

The bright blue liquid begins to fall slowly not leaving even a streak behind on the glass in its descent. The AI waits there with a thousand-yard stare on his face, unwavering and standing upright Mr. X begins to remove the breathing apparatus from the face of the AI. A 3-foot long breathing tube follows the mask, revealing the bare-boned skeleton's face.
