The Decentralized Finance (DeFi) world has enabled many people to earn in ways they’ve never been able to do before. However, trailblazing is risky-- DeFi is still in its infancy, and things can and will go wrong if due diligence is neglected. We intend to provide the safest possible service to our users by having our smart contract fully audited before public launch, as well as having a doxxed and KYC’d team. Not only that, we will go through two rounds of beta testing with users before launching to the public. These processes will take time, but we believe that the wait is well worth it for our investors.

Another issue with DeFi in its current state is that it is mostly still a relatively boring experience–a typical user journey would be relatively passive and have no user interaction for the most part while waiting for rewards to come in. In addition to earning money, we believe that users should be entertained, and their time and attention rewarded; therefore, we aim to build a gamified DeFi experience that is not only lucrative but fun.

Finally, we believe that the events that have unfolded in the node service space warrant cause for concern. To provide some context, DeFi-as-a-Service (DaaS) protocols have been around for a little while now. Already, many have run into sustainability issues, primarily due to unrealistic APYs and a lack of diversity in revenue streams. We believe our investors deserve to have a more robust investment system, as well as sustainability over the long term through the introduction of multiple revenue streams from the get-go, and many more to come over the lifespan of the project. We want to bring about a revolution in DaaS protocols that will change the game forever.

Population Control

The number of users allowed to join the platform will be controlled by our NFT registration system. Prospective users will first need to purchase a Mission Europa identifier NFT before registering an avatar and joining the protocol. Users will be able to buy multiple NFTs, but the number of unique holders will be closely monitored. The protocol will disable NFT minting if the number of active users is deemed to be too great. Active users are people who have interacted with the protocol within the last 100 hours. If you are no longer an active user, your rewards will stop accumulating until you come back online, and you’ll be removed f rom the active user count. By controlling the inflow of new users, Europa’s protocol will be able to keep the treasury stable and users rewards consistent. Most of the NFT minting fees will be redistributed directly into the treasury. A small portion of the fees will be allocated to the platform and the artists.

NFTs by Europa

We all know whatNFTs are at this point, but for completeness’ sake, we’ll walk through it briefly. Non-fungible tokens are unique bits of code that can be used for any number of things, and you would most likely have seen one or two as Twitter or Discord profile pictures. We will take the usage of NFTs in Europa a step further—you will need an identifier NFT in order to take part in Europa. Owning one registers you as a citizen of the Orbit network, and is the prerequisite to accessing the protocol. Apart f rom granting access, the NFTs also come with a variety of perks–boost your rewards, get discounts on protocol activities, get cooldown reductions, and etc. Mission Europa grants you the unique opportunity to customise your own NFT to work just the way you want. The identifier NFTs start at a very affordable price, but if you want more boosts, you’ll have to fork out a bit more. You can also trade NFTs with other people; perhaps for different perks, or maybe you just want that cool looking astronaut. NFTs will play a key role in Europa’s ecosystem.
