In 1957, the managers of the Baçspor club applied to the Izmit Municipality and asked for a land to be given to the young people in the eastern part of the city to do sports. Mayor Osman GENCAL pays close attention to the issue. The fact that GENCAL is a former athlete and also a member of Baçspor plays a role in this interest. Municipality gives 28,000 decares of land in the Old Airplane Square to Baçspor for a symbolic fee of 1 Lira. After 1961, the expropriation of the land came to the fore upon the change of the highway route in the city. This land, which is the title deed property of the club, was expropriated by the BTGM for 283,000 TL after considering the sports facilities of the city of Izmit. With this income from the sale of the land, a plot of land was purchased in the Baç district and the construction was started immediately and the building was completed. Having a nice facility, Baçspor managers thought of establishing a professional team for the first time in 1964 and taking part in the 2nd League. The legal legislation in these years sought the conditions for the clubs to be in the 2nd League to have a club that will emerge as a result of the merger of at least three teams and to have sufficient facilities. In 1965, in order to fulfill these conditions, the executives of Izmit Youth and Doğanspor met, the meetings were positive, but when it came to the colors of the club, the managers of the three clubs did not want to give up their colors. Football Federation officials of the time, especially the clubs bearing the name of the region, gave priority to the leagues.  approves.

Kocaelispor makes its application immediately, and upon the application, the federation officials examine the club and facilities together with the committee. The decision will be in favor of Kocaelispor with a large majority and Kocaelispor will join the amateur league in the 1965-1966 season. While Kocaelispor is struggling in the amateur league, the managers continue their efforts to take part in the professional second league. The managers of the three Clubs come together again, agree on all issues, adopt the colors green and black, hold their joint congress and elect the board of directors.

Starting with the allocation of land to Baçspor and reaching today, Mayor Osman GENCAL, Members of Municipal Council, İsmail KOLAYLI, who made great contributions to the construction of the facility, Y. Eng. Bedri GÜNGÖR, Eng. Kocaelispor, formed by Ziya TAŞDELEN, Mannesman Factory Manager Alparslan AKMAN, İbrahim KÜÇÜKÖRS, Nasut KAYALI, and Kocaelispor Fans and the people of Izmit, who provided financial and moral support in reaching this stage, is no longer a district team, but a team of the whole city.
