Layer 0, clear USPs and tech stack, Binance Labs investment. This is not a lowcap gem, but it doesn't need to be. It's more of an established, experienced team with big SF investors.

Marlin Protocol provides a high-performance network infrastructure for modern decentralized systems. Its immediate goal is to develop decentralized Application Delivery Networks (ADNs) to reduce the time within which blocks are transmitted to nodes in blockchains, something they call layer-0 scaling.
Networks are complementary to compute and storage. Web 2.0's success involved several networking unicorns. Marlin similarly has several use-cases in web 3.0, such as messaging, streaming, trading, cloud computing and gaming. And for all of that, they provide:
▪️Privacy - using probabilistic forwarding, shell games, anonymous routing.
▪️Scalability - multipath routing, cut-through routing, efficient multicast trees, and more.
Marlin's tech is based on relay nodes. Long story short, Marlin is a relay network marketplace where multiple relay networks compete to carry blocks, transactions and other content for blockchains and dapps.
To serve this purpose the Marlin ecosystem involves 4 types of nodes:
1. Marlin nodes - nodes that serve as relay nodes in the Marlin network. The central element of the protocol, these nodes cooperate with one another to propagate packets amongst themselves and to deliver them to miners
2. Auditors - nodes that guarantee the security and performance of Relay nodes or Relay networks
3. Miners/Validators - nodes that produce blocks or perform computations and use the Marlin nodes to relay packets
4. Full nodes - users (wallets, merchants, etc) that use the Marlin network to receive the latest, transactions and blocks.
But these roles are not exclusive. A miner or full node can also act as a Marlin node and vice verse.
Recently, the team of Marlin Protocol announced the closure of their seed round in which a lot of notable VCs participated. (https://www.coindesk.com/binance-backed-firm-working-to-boost-blockchain-speeds-raises-3-million) Having said that, the recent closure of Seed implies that the project will soon have a lot of interesting updates. We, thus, advise subscribing to their telegram and twitter announcements.
