Slips is a platform that allows you to challenge your friends and other gamers whilst watching the streams you love. Wagers are placed using a cryptocurrency token called “Slips” and players can make custom and complex challenges to each other using
a simple interface.
As well as a desktop and mobile application, Slips can be used as a browser plugin on streaming sites such as Twitch - allowing users to watch, chat and challenge others on the platforms and communities they already use.
If the outcome of a bet made on the platform is disputed, it can be settled by the on-demand moderation workforce. Moderators who join the Slips platform to help settle challenges have an economic incentive to own Slips tokens - the more they hold (and stake), the greater the volume of moderation jobs they will earn.
If a bet is disputed by any of its participants before being settled, the users involved will be able to upload evidence supporting their claims, and a number of moderators will be assigned to help settle the challenge. The amount of moderators attached to the wager is dependent on the fees the participants are willing to pay. An open blockchain based reputation system allows users to rate moderators for their moderation work.
