The 2023 5th International Conference on Blockchain Technology (ICBCT 2023) will be held in Guilin, China during November 10-12, 2023.

The 2023 5th International Conference on Blockchain Technology (ICBCT 2023) is organized by Guilin University of Electronic Technology, China and co-organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into the conference proceedings and indexed by EI Compendex & Scopus.
Blockchain technology has infiltrated all areas of our lives, from manufacturing to healthcare and beyond, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Agriculture, Government, Manufacturing, Travel and Transportation, Supply-Chain, etc. Blockchain Technology is defined as a decentralized system of distributed registers that are used to record data transactions on multiple computers. The reason this technology has gained popularity is that you can put any digital asset or transaction in the blocking chain, the industry does not matter. Blockchain technology can be used to prevent any data breach, identity theft, cyber-attacks or criminal acts in transactions. This ensures that data remains private and secure.

Prof. F. Richard Yu, Carleton University, Canada

IEEE Fellow

F. Richard Yu received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2003. His research interests include connected/autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and wireless systems. His pioneering contributions have significantly impacted research and development in this area through over 700 highly cited publications. He is among the top 1% of highly cited researchers on Web of Science since 2019. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE), Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), and IET. He is a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE in both VTS and ComSoc.

Prof. Dusit Niyato, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Prof. Dusit Niyato is currently a President's Chair Professor in Computer Science and Engineering in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Dusit's research interests are distributed collaborative machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), edge intelligent metaverse, mobile and distributed computing, and wireless networks. Dusit is serving as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, editor of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. He was named the 2017-2022 highly cited researcher in computer science. He is a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of IET.

Prof. Yan Zhang, University of Oslo, Norway

IEEE Fellow

Yan Zhang research interests include next-generation wireless networks leading to 6G, green and secure cyber-physical systems. Dr. Zhang is an Editor (or Area Editor, Senior Editor, Associate Editor) for several IEEE transactions/magazine. Since 2018, Prof. Zhang was a recipient of the global “Highly Cited Researcher” Award (Web of Science top 1% most cited worldwide) for five years. He is Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of IET, elected member of Academia Europaea (MAE), elected member of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters (DKNVS), and elected member of Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences (NTVA).
