About U.S. Oil & Gas Blockchain Forum

Why is there so much interest in Blockchain within the oil and gas community?

Companies are evaluating whether Blockchain technology could be the answer to help in their pursuit of operational efficiency, further automation and increased profitability as an alternative to traditional processes.

The OOC Oil & Gas Blockchain Consortium's annual budget will come from the annual fees paid by its members. The cost of Core Membership (open only to operators) will be US$100,000 (over 500+ employees) and $50,000 (under 500+ employees) per year, and the cost of Associate Membership (open to suppliers and industry vendors) will be US$50,000 (over 500+ employees) and $25,000 (under 500+ employees) per year with a two-year commitment from all Members with annual renewals after year two.

The Consortium has agreed to mature three separate ideas which are good candidates for blockchain technology and is ready to move forward with piloting the projects.

The US Oil & Gas Blockchain Forum is a broad industry community where Blockchain stakeholders can discuss, learn and network at regular events, including lunches, conferences and workshops.

Past events have averaged 40 people per month, representing 15 major energy companies.
