Austriachain is a bootstrapped lean start-up from Vienna, Austria in the early innings of its development. We are dedicated to deliver a commodification solution for the Austrian energy wood market (Holzenergie), conduct transparent project management and empower all stakeholders in the forestry industry. Austriachain is here to create something equitable for all stakeholders involved. We are using distributed ledger technology to aggregate the forestry industry like never before.
Nowadays forestry businesses and bioenergy factories in Austria face issues raising capital. Austriachain has the vision to create a more efficient Austrian firewood market (Holzenergiemarkt) and replicate its model for world-wide adoption. Austriachain’s scope of the project is to enable more liquidity to all forestry stakeholders (private consumers, lumberjacks and bioenergy factories). There is currently a significant supply demand inefficacy between Northern Austrian states and South Austrian states (Waldverband, 2018).
