So what changed about Dogecoin?<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Influencer_Culture\"><\/span>Influencer Culture<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">The richest man in the universe, Tesla CEO and SpaceX boss, Elon Musk, hailed peer-to-peer transactions as the future of payments. Dogecoin growth and influence has accelerated, with Musk noting the potential of digital currencies in reshaping financial systems. However, he didn\u2019t endorse Dogecoin in the video. He used it as an example and hinted that it could be among the winning cryptos of the future.<\/p>\n<p>The tech billionaire, regarded as an inventions pioneer and influencer, followed his words with several tweets about Dogecoin. Musk went even as far as to get a Shiba Inu puppy he named Floki as a pet. Owing to Musk\u2019s standing, many\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/icoholder.com\/en\/news\/onequity-launches-new-educational-hub-for-beginner-traders\">crypto investors<\/a>\u00a0took his words seriously and now Dogecoin is traded more frequently.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its_a_Culture_Coin\"><\/span>It\u2019s a Culture Coin<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Memes are very effective at passing along messages. So who knew they could influence markets too? Well, the joke with Dogecoin went too far. People bought it as part of a trend. Experts believe most buyers didn\u2019t buy it as an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/a\/altcoin.asp\">altcoin<\/a>\u00a0but rather to participate in the culture. This determines the number of such coins that can be in existence. Bitcoin, which has the most significant supply cap, shall only have 21 million BTC coins.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">However, Dogecoin has no supply cap yet, so there can be as many coins as the market demands. Some have viewed Dogecoin as a pump and dump scheme because of this. Influencer culture has played a significant role in driving hype around Dogecoin, with high-profile endorsements contributing to its volatile nature.
