The latest developments suggest that Paraguay will soon follow El Salvador\u2019s lead, or at least pass cryptocurrency-friendly legislation. This movement is driven by one man in particular, 36-year-old Paraguayan legislator Carlos Rajala. On Monday, Rajala publicly supported Bukele on social media. He referred to an &#8220;important initiative&#8221; that will &#8220;innovate Paraguay on the global stage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As I&#8217;ve been saying for a long time, our nation must go ahead with the next generation of leaders. The time has arrived, our time has come,&#8221; he tweeted. While details of the initiative are unclear, there is widespread speculation that it will involve Bitcoin and PayPal.
