The UBEX team is solid. They are experienced in blockchain, AI technology, digital advertising and entrepreneurship. They however do not have any investing firm backing them, which could be a disadvantage for a startup.

The UBEX token is only used as a mean of payment in the ecosystem and there is no incentive for users to hold any. This will drive its price down in the long run because of the high volatility.

The token distribution is widespread, with 3% of all tokens given as community rewards and 72% sold in the token sale. However, the team and advisors are keeping 15% of all tokens with only a 1-year lockup period, which we consider too short.

At ICON Partners, we believe that this project is interesting because it solves many of the problems that traditional ad exchanges currently have. We do however feel like their token model doesn’t incentivize people enough to use their platform which will lower the value of the token in the long run. Ubex will also have to compete with other decentralized ad exchanges like AdEx and Basic Attention Token which are already established players. Also, since Ubex is far from the official release, the team will have to deliver an exceptional product that can achieve what their competitors can’t if they want to gain market shares.
